Ahmed Hussein graduated from Northern Virginia Community College with an Associates of Science in Civil Engineering. Hussein also graduated from the University of the District of Columbia with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, and George Washington University with a Master’s degree in Engineering Management and System Security.
Hussein has worked with the Fairfax County Government in Land and Building Development. He also worked as a cybersecurity consultant with the Defense Information System Agency in the Department of Defense and joined the Federal Aviation Administration for 22 years. As a manager in the Federal Aviation Administration, Hussein has served with the Department of Defense in several US embassies around the world .
Hussein wants to improve the facilities of schools, such as by replacing temporary trailers with more permanent facilities .
Hussein wants to address the drop in scores of tests such as the SAT in Fairfax County .
Hussein plans on enhancing the implementation of special education programs everywhere. He also hopes to expand advanced education opportunities, such as increasing the amount of extracurricular activities and making community college courses free .
