Andres Jimenez currently serves as Executive Director for Green 2.0, an environmental non-profit. Green 2.0’s work aims to resolve the climate issue through the voices of minorities across the nation. In past years, Jimenez was Senior Director of Government Affairs for the Citizens’ Climate Lobby. While Senior Director, Jimenez worked with the U.S. House and Senate to make bolder policies for the climate crisis .
Jimenez has served in the House Judiciary’s Immigration Subcommittee as well as Associate Director of Government Relations for the Ocean Conservancy. The conservancy aims to pass bipartisan bills to combat environmental issues like ocean acidification .
Jimenez is passionate about improving the environment. By leading organizations such as Green 2.0, he aims to combat the climate crisis .
Jimenez wants to protect the rights of all people in the LGBTQIA+ community .
In an attempt to reduce gun violence, Jimenez wants to establish universal background checks and end the gun show loophole .
Jimenez wants to ensure that Fairfax County schools are given a proper share in the school funding formula .
Jimenez wants to improve the transportation network so that public buses and other forms of transportation are easily accessible to the community .
