Background
Anthony Edwards attended New Mexico Highlands University with a major in Business Management and played football there [2]. In 1989, he was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent [4]. He returned to Arizona in 1990 where he spent eight years as a player for the team [2]. Edwards continued to work for the Arizona Cardinals until 2021 and became Senior Director of Player Development and Team Chaplain. Edwards is a former member of the Steering Committee for Player Development/Engagement. Since 2004, he has headed the Arizona Cardinals Training Camp and has been the Travel Advance Man. Edwards was formerly a board member of the Casa Grande Union High School District. He is currently an Honorary Member of the Boys and Girls Club and is the Pastor of the Greater Evangelist Temple [2]. |
