Key Issues

Parent Involvement

Indemaio wants to increase parent involvement by expanding parental control over what is deemed appropriate in schools.

Indemaio would like to amplify teacher’s voices through the school board. She hopes to increase teacher involvement regarding the administration of CFISD [1].

Indemaio says administrators at a CFISD high school planned to show a video that had an “implicit bias” against white males. She attended a CFISD board meeting to express concerns over what she says are elements of critical race theory in the district’s schools [4].

School Safety

Indemaio is a supporter of a HB-18, a Texas State legislation which increases parental control on children’s information and the transfer of electronic devices to students by a public school, as she believes that data mining on children is occurring in CFISD [1]. The bill requires minors to gain parental consent before creating new online accounts, and online service providers to censor harmful content to minors. Opponents of the bill find harmful content to be subjective to deem [5].

She helped suspend the No Place for Hate Program in CFISD, claiming the anti-bullying program socially shamed children, was divisive, and of questionable sources [6].
