Background
Anthony is a graduate of Old Dominion University, receiving a bachelor’s of science in electrical and electronics engineering in 1992, and a master’s of engineering in modeling, simulation and visualization engineering in 2016. Anthony also is a graduate of Virginia Union University, receiving a master’s of divinity in theology/theological Studies in 2002. Since January 2022, Anthony has served as the Executive Director of Retention and Persistence at Virginia State University [2, 4].
Anthony has primarily worked in engineering and education, working with organizations such as the FAA and Newport News Shipbuilding. Anthony served as the Director of Engineering Student Success at Old Dominion University from 2017 to 2022, and this is Anthony’s first experience running for public office [2, 4].

Abortion
Anthony wants to “keep Virginia pro-choice” and supports abortion as a “human right”, not an issue that should be legislated. Anthony thinks abortion “should be between a person and their doctor,” and supports the codification of these rights despite the Dobbs decision [4].
Education
Anthony wants to ensure that all races are represented in Virginia historical education and that attempts to ban books from elementary and middle school libraries are limited to preserve the right to freedom of speech in education [4].
