Background

Brittany Walker graduated from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She then earned a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Old Dominion University. During this time, she worked as a classroom teacher at Hickory Elementary and Grassfield Elementary for Chesapeake Public Schools and was appointed as an assistant principal for B. M. Williams Primary School. Walker also has a certificate in School Leadership and Management from Harvard University [5]. She now works as a partner program manager at zyBooks [1, 6]. When Walker was a rising senior at Old Mill High School, Maryland, in 2006, she was elected to be a student member of the Anne Arundel County Board of Education [3, 8].
