Chioma Griffin earned a BS in Business Management from Knoxville College (where she was also a member of the Zeta Phi Beta Pi chapter), an MBA from Bristol University, and a Doctorate degree from the Virginia University of Lynchburg.
Griffin has certifications in mobile marketing, peer recovery, and mental health. She has worked in military education marketing and recruitment for the Department of Defense and as a mental health professional for Here for You Supportive Services.
Griffin’s volunteer experience includes serving as the president of the Petersburg NAACP, an executive board member and chair of the youth committee of the Petersburg NAACP, the founder of an organization that combats human trafficking, a board member of Hampton Procurements and Contracts, city planner commissioner, and the secretary of the Petersburg Area Arts League. She also hosts a monthly popup dinner to feed disadvantaged populations in Petersburg.
Griffin has written three books and co-authored two. She has additionally hosted a Black Women Exposition including various ambassadors from Africa and AFRICON, an annual festival celebrating African ancestry [1, 2].
