Chris B. Shumaker received a bachelor’s degree in history at Santa Clara University in 2002. Schumacher assisted people through a program at American University to aid with government familiarity in voters’ eyes. He has extensive experience in business management, mentoring and education, and volunteering .
Shumaker worked in sales as a manager at Warby Parker, representative at Bankers Life and Casualty Company, and estimator at Long Fence in the DC, Maryland, Virginia area. In addition to sales, Shumaker volunteered in his community and acted as director on local initiatives. Shumaker is currently presiding as an interim council member after the seat was vacated by Elizabeth Gaucher until the November 2023 special election .
Shumaker supports the importance of a “small town heart” community with forward thinking ideas .
Shumaker wants to outreach to others with academic opportunities. Specifically, Shumaker taught Spanish to students which taught him the importance of communication in academia .
