David Lucier graduated from Arizona State University in 1974 where he earned his Bachelors of Science in political science [2]. Lucier then served for his country as a Green Beret where he was eventually inducted into the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame in 2009 for his advocacy for veterans in areas of education, economic security, and health and wellness [1, 5]. He founded the Arizona Veterans & Military Leadership Alliance in 2012 and currently serves as the CEO, leading veteran advisory councils for various Arizona politicians [1, 2, 4]. He also chaired the Arts and Culture Commission for the City of Tempe [4]. Lucier has also served on various other boards and nonprofit groups around the state such as: the ASU Alumni Association, the Planning Area Advisory Board, and the Catholic Charities Steering Committee on Homelessness [1]. He is also an amateur writer for the digital publication, AZMirror [6].
