Quick is a graduate of Oscar Smith High School and Norfolk State University with a bachelor’s of science in accounting. Quick has worked in accounting on both the local and state levels for over 25 years and has worked as an internal auditor with NSU as well as a business tax specialist, revenue tax auditor, and accountant with the Chesapeake Office of the Commissioner of Revenue [1].
Quick has previously run for election as a write-in candidate for Chesapeake Commissioner of Revenue in 2021. Quick’s specific goals as treasurer include modernizing the city’s tax system and spurring greater cooperation between the Office of the Treasury and City Council [1, 2, 5].
