Key Issues

Brittingham prioritizes transparency and accountability. She wants to increase detail, specificity, and transparency of the budget, and she wants the SPS budget to undergo a full forensic audit [1].

Law Enforcement

Brittingham hopes to increase staffing and hire more resource officers at problematic campuses in order to bolster school safety [1].

Brittingham wants to improve communication between the School Board and the City Council and wants SPS, Law Enforcement Agencies, and City Council to be more involved in developing a strategic plan for how they will respond and provide support in the event of an emergency [1].

Brittingham supports the influence of parents in education. She is against the teaching of critical race theory in schools and believes it is racist. Brittingham is against the teaching of SEL lessons by teachers, as teachers have less experience with it than individuals who have many years of training, certifications, or specific degrees [1].
