Background
Monroe receieved a MS in math and science education from Johns Hopkins University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in educational leadership from George Mason University. Monroe works as a physics teacher at McLean High School and is a member of the Virginia STEM Education Advisory Board. Monroe previously served as a board member and Chair of the McLean Citizens Association’s Environmental, Parks, and Recreation Committee. Additionally, he represented Dranesville on the Environmental Quality Advisory Council [1, 3].
Monroe unsuccessfully ran for election to Virginia’s 48th seat in the House of Delegates in 2021. [2]
