Ellen Andeen graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.S. in business administration . She later earned an MBA in management and operations, summa cum laude . She led an acquisition team for Penske Automotive Group from 2019-2021 . Previously, she spent 25 years in banking with a focus on the automotive industry, working for companies like Ford Motor Credit Company and Bank of America. She has also served as police volunteer with the Paradise Valley Police Department and Board Treasurer to the FBI Phoenix Citizens Academy Alumni Association . In March 2021, she concluded her position as chairperson for the Advisory Committee on Public Safety. Currently, Andeen is an advocate for Special Olympics Arizona and a board member of The Phoenix Symphony .
Andeen supports a light-touch approach to hillside developments that balance property rights and natural resources . She wants to prioritize mountain preservation and responsible development .
Andeen supports the preservation of the Town’s character  to maintain the rural-type feeling in an urban setting . Andeen prioritizes preserving the Town’s open spaces . She voted “yes” on strict code changes for short-term rentals  and has linked the population decrease of the town to short-term rentals and homes purchased by corporations . Andeen supports the regulation of short-term rentals and party houses through zoning. Lastly, she supports large lot sizes with no property taxes .
Andeen advocates for increased involvement between the community and the police department . She supports using her experience with the police to give the police, fire, and community additional tools . Andeen previously attended Paradise Valley police events such as the Law Enforcement Torch Run held by Special Olympics Arizona .
Andeen is fiscally conservative and supports a limited government , advocating for no property taxes . Andeen wants to uphold a balanced budget  If re-elected, Andeen wants to continue her role as a member of the Investment Committee  and help the town council regulate cash reserves .
Andeen does not support running for Council Member or Mayor for over 2 terms  and advocates for a new Town Manager .
Andeen is against using government resources to favor family members  and supports increasing the involvement of residents in the Town’s general plan . In 2020, Andeen supported a proposal regarding ethics, integrity, and transparency, which did not pass.
