Background

Baez graduated from Furman University in 2007 with a BA in political science and government and received a JD from the University of Richmond in 2010. Baez first worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Harold W. Burgess, followed by working as an attorney with the offices of Morris and Morris, Owen and Owens, and Hatcher and Baez, before beginning her own practice in 2022. Baez previously served as President of the Chesterfield Bar Association and was the inaugural Chairman of the Women’s Business Council for the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce, as well as serving on the Board of Directors. Baez hopes to use her familiarity with the law to succeed in the position of clerk of court in order to improve the efficiency of the Chesterfield County court system [1].
