Fitz Johnson graduated from the Citadel with a BA in education, from Troy University with a master’s degree in education, and from the University of Kentucky College of law with a JD. Johnson is a veteran and a former businessman. He has served on the Kennesaw State University Foundation Board of Trustees, the board of the Cumberland Counseling Center, the Wellstar Health System Board of Trustees, and as a Commissioner on the State Charter Schools Commission [1, 2].
As a businessman, Johnson formerly owned ASID Group International, LLC, the Atlanta Beat women’s professional soccer team, and Eagle Group International. He was appointed to the position of Georgia Public Service Commissioner in 2021 by Governor Brian Kemp [4, 5].
