Gary B. Hunter graduated from Hampton University with a bachelor’s degree in business management. He is the assistant vice president at Langley Federal Credit Union. He is also the Director of Development at Hampton University [1, 2, 3, 5, 6].
Hunter serves on boards for the Newport News Redevelopment & Housing Authority and the Economic Development Authority/Industrial Development Authority, and he is a Chairman of the Board at Community Knights [1, 5, 7].
Hunter plans to find a new building for Huntington Middle School and seeks to give raises to school employees. He is an advocate for equal access of resources for children, preparing students to be college and career-ready, and understanding the needs of the teachers, students, and parents.
