Harris Mahedavi graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science . Mahedavi is a former small business owner for over 10 years. Mahedavi has also worked with the Big 4 consulting companies to help a number of clients. As a volunteer, Mahedavi has served as a soccer coach for both boys and girls in Loudoun Soccer, as a cub master for local Cub Scouts, as an assistant scoutmaster for Boy Scouts, and as a Loudoun County Family Services Advisory Board Member . As a school board member, Harris has backed initiatives that support not only academic success but also social-emotional learning and mental health awareness among students .
Mahedavi hopes to advocate for increased funding for special education programs, support policies that promote inclusion and accessibility, and partner with parents, educators, and community members to build support networks and promote awareness of the needs .

Mahedavi hopes to give teachers, administrators, bus drivers, and cafeteria staff the resources and support they need. To do this he hopes to advocate for fair wages, benefits, and working conditions, support professional development opportunities, foster a positive and collaborative work environment, and promote collective bargaining as a means to support the rights of school personnel .
