Jasmine Bowles received her Bachelor’s degree from Emory University and her Master’s from the University of Miami. She is a current member of the Clayton County Board of Education, and she has worked as a teacher, curriculum specialist, adjunct professor, and board member in Miami and New Orleans as well as Atlanta . While in New Orleans, Bowles was a policy fellow for the Louisiana Department of Education . She joined Teach for America as a corps member in 2010, and in 2016 founded PROOF Inc. (Plans, Resources, & Opportunities for Organized Freedom) in Atlanta . She also helped charter the Young Democrats of Clayton County . Bowles is the Georgia State Director of the National Domestic Workers Alliance  and the Georgia State Director for Care in Action .
Bowles seeks to provide equitable resources to all children in the Clayton County School District. She believes that work must be done to reform public schools so that they may better serve students from diverse backgrounds .
