McMillian has a bachelor’s of science in business management, is certified in accounting from the Internal Revenue Service, and has an income tax certification in the states of New York and Maryland. McMillian has over 48 years of income tax preparation experience, and is the CEO of Fairfax Income Tax Services .
McMillan has served as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff for Fairfax County and the City of Fairfax for over 17 years. McMillian says the primary reason for his campaign is corruption and faulty leadership he observed in the Fairfax County police department. McMillan has additionally volunteered with the Secret Service under a former president. Additionally, McMillan is the first African-American candidate to run for the position of Sheriff of Fairfax County; he has previously run in the 2021 and 2022 elections [1, 6].
McMillian wants to be a sheriff of the people to communicate the needs of the people to the police department and increase accountability among Fairfax County police leadership .
McMillian wants to ensure that black people receive equal treatment, both on the police force and as inmates, and also wants to promote mental health resources among the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Department and Jail .
