Joe Babb graduated from the University of California, Davis with a bachelor’s degree in soil and water science. Babb then graduated from San Diego State University with a master’s in international business. From 1988 to 1999, Babb worked for the County of San Diego Department of Planning and Land Use. In 1999, Babb started working for the Foreign Service, and his duties included working on the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP). Lastly, Babb has served as a senior advisor to the International Joint Commission (IJC). The IJC is the organization meant to overlook the US-Canadian treaty sharing the Great Lakes.

Babb wants to decrease the national debt and implement audits and zero-based budgeting for federal departments. Babb is an advocate for free trade agreements.

Babb believes that Medicare and Social Security need to be reworked and that social programs must be financially self-sustainable.

College Tuition

Babb believes that any free college tuition program must be limited to majors that are beneficial to the economy.


Babb believes that all immigration must be legal and documented.

Babb supports policing as a protective function. Regarding incarceration, Babb believes that there are better ways to incarcerate and rehabilitate for some convicted of crimes.


Babb is pro-life. In order to decrease the number of abortions, Babb prioritizes streamlining adoption options through public and private initiatives and aims to create more workplace daycare centers.
