Jackson graduated from Duke University with bachelor’s degrees in English and political science, and she earned a Doctor of Law degree from Harvard University. Jackson is a practicing attorney at Alston & Bird LLP and is former 9th grade social studies teacher at KIPP WAYS Academy. She is also the Vice Chair of the Board of the Atlanta Center for Self Sufficiency and a member of the Board of Trustees of Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre Company. She has been endorsed by the Buckhead Coalition and Georgia Equality. Jackson has placed an emphasis on educational equity. She has promised to support improved nutrition, mental health, family support, and other key services for students.
