Kathleen “Kathy” Abbott graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a BA in writing seminars. She has served as a producer for ABC News and NBC News and was promoted to senior producer for NBC News. Abbott currently serves as President of Abbott Media Productions. She is also currently co-owner of StreamTime Live and ReelTime Animal Rescue [1, 2].

Abbott was elected to the Ashland Town Council in 2016 and currently serves as the Downtown Ashland Association Liaison and Richmond Region Tourism Liaison [2, 4].

Previously, Abbott has been involved with the Ashland Community Theatre Foundation, Hanover Arts and Activities Center, Ashland Museum, Train Day, Ashland Musical Variety Show, and a Parent-Teacher Association. Additionally, Abbott graduated from the Ashland Citizen’s Academy in 2016 [3].
