Background

Kimberly Fisher worked various jobs throughout Phoenix before earning her bachelor’s degree in Technical Management from DeVry University and graduating summa cum laude. She then went on to earn her master’s in Accounting and Finance Management from the same university [1, 5, 6]. Post-graduation, Fisher worked as an accountant for Safeway and as an operations manager for the Phoenix Union High School District. Fisher has previously served two terms on the DVUSD Governing Board: 2015-2018 and 2021-2024. Throughout her terms, she has served as board vice-president and president at various times [6]. During her time serving on the board, Fisher has had a handful of complaints filed against her, ranging from verbal abuse on online platforms to physical abuse at a previous job [2, 3, 4].

Curriculum

Fisher would like to partner with the Department of Education and legislature to remove Marxist ideas from CRT (Critical Race Theory) curriculum in schools. Fisher would also like for schools to focus on core subjects and skills for success rather than more controversial topics like sex education [7].

Parental Involvement

Fisher would like to ensure that medical decisions are being solely left to parents [7].
