Background

Leah Martineau, originally from Gilbert, Arizona, pursued her education at Arizona State University, graduating in 2004 with a teaching degree [1]. Martineau serves on the Town Council and holds positions on regional transportation committees, and was appointed Vice Mayor in January of 2024 [1, 3].  Before her current role at the Arizona Anti-Trafficking Network, Martineau was in multiple non-profit organizations focused on child protection. Furthermore, Council Member Martineau represents the Town on the East Valley Transportation Infrastructure (EVTI) Stakeholder Regional Committee and is on the League of Arizona Cities and Towns Transportation Infrastructure and Public Works Committee [1, 2]. She also serves as an alternate for the Town’s Transportation Advisory Committee.
