Background

Hudgins graduated magna cum laude in 1994 from Virginia Commonwealth University, earning a B.A. in English and later a Master’s of Teaching in secondary school English education. Hudgins has previously worked as a performance consultant and as a partner at several construction companies, including Belle Interiors, LLC and Dale Carnegie [1, 3]. 


Hudgins worked as a high school English teacher in Hanover County Public Schools from 2013 to 2019 and at Midlothian High School from 2019 to 2022. She has earned the 2013Teacher of Promise Candidate and the 2018 Teacher of the Year Award from Hanover County Public Schools [3].
