Lloyd R. Runnett has served as Louisa County Resource Council’s executive director and a volunteer for Mineral Volunteer Fire Department and the Louisa Santa Council .
Runnett also served as the athletic trainer for Louisa County High School’s athletics program during the 2020-2021 seasons when the school division had an unexpected absence at the position. A statement released by the school board noted that he has also helped plan various school-community events such as the annual Hometown Homecoming Parade in Mineral .
Runnett is a proponent of equality in opportunity regardless of race. He plans to restructure school boards to no longer be all-white board members, and rather shift to an ethnically diverse group in order to represent the beliefs and desires of a wider range of people .
Runnett wants to ensure that quality continues to rise and present opportunities to students [1, 2].
