Background
Price graduated from Spelman College in 2002 with a BA in philosophy before receiving a MA in religious studies from the Howard University School of Divinity in 2005. Price eventually received a Master of Divinity in 2022 from Virginia Union University, and has previously worked as a divinity research assistant with Howard University as well as a parish intern with Grace Episcopal Church. Price has also contributed to her community through her work as a Relay for Life Team Captain with the American Cancer Society, Board Member for Habitat for Humanity Peninsula, and a Founding Board member of the Rising Power PAC [3].
Price first entered politics by working in Governor Mark Warner’s Office in 2004, eventually working as a state organizer with the NAACP and a political consultant in Hampton Roads for local and Congressional elections. Price is also the director of Virginia BLOC, a community-based political empowerment organization, and has served as the Delegate from Virginia’s 95th District since 2016. Price works on the Health, Welfare and Institutions Committee, General Laws Committee, Public Safety Committee, and is Vice-Chair of the Privileges and Elections Committee [3].

Community
Price wants to support the development of affordable housing, bring more good-paying jobs to the Tidewater region, and lessen the impact of gun violence in underprivileged communities through the development of prosocial initiatives [7].
Criminal Justice
Price wants to protect the rights of citizens in the criminal justice system, especially those in discriminated and marginalized communities such as people of color and sexual assault victims, through such measures as requiring every law-enforcement agency to report directly to the Department of Criminal Justice System on instances of civilian deaths while in police custody and providing increased opportunity for children to utilize two-way closed-circuit television when testifying in court [6].
