Maureen Belko has a BS in Business Management from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, and is a graduate of the Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Southside Program. She is currently an Asset Management Associate at Noblis. She is a former Demand Planner and Quality Assurance Coordinator for Infinity Global, Financial Advisor for the Indiana University Office of Student Financial Assistance, and Baking Assistant for Indiana University Residential Programs and Services [2, 4, 9, 12].

Belko is Vice President of the board of directors for Middle Border Forward, co-founder and President of the LGBTQ+ group Collidescope, and committee member of Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals. She started Danville’s only ultimate frisbee league with Danville Parks and Recreation and worked with Middle Border Forward to sponsor discs for new players. She has also captained a local kick-ball team [4, 9, 12, 13].

Belko believes more adult programs through the Parks and Recreation department would increase citizen retention. She believes Danville needs a deli. Belko looks forward to the Caesars Virginia casino coming to Danville and the restaurants it will bring [1, 12].
