Patrick Hare received a B.A. in Philosophy and Music from CSU Long Beach, a MDiv from Fuller Theological Seminary, and a J.D. from Boston University School of Law [4]. He’s worked with the LA County Public Defender’s Office for 32 years and is currently a Deputy Public Defender. He previously worked for the LA County Public Defender’s Office, with collaborative courts, the HALO program, the Rapid Diversion program, and the Bail Project. He has been a part of the Mental Health Court, Juvenile Court, and is part of his office’s committee on Bail Reform. He has also handled civil litigation including dependency, involuntary commitment and conservatorship cases. He served on the board of directors of the Hollywood Urban Project, a non-profit agency serving a primarily low-income Latinx community in East Hollywood [2].
Hare is the founder and co-director of the Hollywood Mass Choir and volunteers with the Hollywood Winter Refuge Shelter for the homeless [2].
