Petrina Carter received a BS in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and an MS in Training and Development from the University of St. Francis. [1]
She has served on the Boards of Big Brothers Big Sisters and worked for Southside Virginia Society for Human Resource Professionals and the Workforce Investment and Opportunity Act of the West Piedmont (WIOA). In addition, she was the Senior Manager for the Virginia Employment Commission’s Danville Local Office and the Director of Career Services at Averett University. [3]
She is the CEO and President of Tri-County Community Action Agency, a nonprofit organization that attempts to “eliminate the violence of poverty through advocacy, empowerment and self-sufficiency.” [3]
