Rebecca King earned an Associate Degree of Applied Science from Faulkner Sate Community College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from the University of South Alabama. After college, King taught in Baldwin County, AL and Faulkner Sate Community College. She is currently a member of the Buckhead Condo Alliance and holds a chair for Livable Buckhead. Through her involvement in these organizations, she hopes to improve the prosperity and quality of life in Buckhead. King is also the CEO of Cover Your Assets. Cover Your Assets is a business that provides pictorial documentation of individuals’ belongings to insurance companies in case of a catastrophe. King ran against Howard Shook for the City Council District 7 Seat in 2017 and lost.
King has proposed putting more police officers to work and recruiting new law enforcement by offering incentives.
King advocates for providing tax incentives to small businesses to create new jobs and promote the economy.
