|Shannon O’Brien received a B.A. in Political Science and Government from Howard University and a Master of Public Administration from California State University, Long Beach . In 2003, O’Brien co-founded Children’s Resources, a non-profit organization that organizes youth programs in support of educational success, where she currently serves as Executive Director [1, 4]. She has also served on the Fontana Unified School District Board of Education and the Executive Committee of the San Bernardino County School Boards Association, and was a founding board member of the Inland Empire Association of Black School Educators. |
O’Brien grew up in Carson, California and has a son with her husband Jason. .
O’Brien supports increased transparency in the City of Fontana’s decision-making process, especially for those decisions related to taxes and budgeting .
O’Brien wants to introduce term limits for the Fontana mayor and city council [1, 6].
O’Brien wants to reinstate Fontana’s sensible land use policy and opposes the frequent construction of warehouses in low-income neighborhoods .
