Shantell Rock has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Strayer University, as well as a master’s degree in Paralegal Studies/Legal Studies from George Washington University. Rock was a case manager for an IP (Intellectual Property) Law Firm, prior to working as a senior paralegal specialist at a law firm, where she is currently employed. She has served in the military and is an Army veteran [1, 2, 3].
Rock is also the chair of Prince William County’s Racial and Social Justice Commission as well as the former group lead for Prince Willaim County’s Moms Demand Action Chapter, which is a gun-safety advocacy group. Rock also served as the former chair of the Woodbridge Democratic Committee [1, 2].
Rock wants to make school meals free for all students and wants to ensure that the school meals have sufficient portions .
Rock wants to improve the available academic support to vulnerable students and decrease the dropout rate among students in the county .
Rock advocates against gun violence and supports stronger school safety measures. [1, 6].
Rock supports collective bargaining for school teachers and staff to keep the school system competitive with recruitment and retention [1, 5].
