Background

Thomas McLellan was born and raised in Southside Virginia and has spent almost all of his life in Virginia’s 5th Congressional District. McLellan earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Virginia and currently works in land and agricultural management in Albemarle County, Virginia. His father was a small business owner, and his mother was a teacher at a local middle school. He has a history with agriculture as he picked tobacco leaves and was a state officer for Future Farmers of America in high school.
