Torri M. Hudson grew up in Soperton, Georgia. Hudson attended Macon State College, where he majored in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement. 

Hudson is a part of many committees in Georgia, including President-Elect of the Council of Probate Judges, Second Vice Chair of the Election Commission for the Georgia Election Officials Association, and Second vice Chair of the Magistrate Judges Council. 

In July of 2021, Hudson faced an ethics complaint. He was investigated on allegations by the Judicial Qualifications Commission that he required a person to appear in court for contempt hearing and then wrongly sentenced that person to jail time. The commission filing said Hudson may have violated 10 judicial conduct rules. Hudson responded to this by agreeing not to run for a judgeship for the next seven years.
