Val Romero was born in Tucson, Arizona, and finished high school at Salpointe Catholic. He was in the army for many years.
Val wants to provide better training for local law enforcement, reduce police workload, listen to the safety concerns of marginalized communities, and create a mental health plan for Police and Tucson.
Romero strives to solve homelessness in Tucson by connecting people with more resources and services such as mental healthcare, social services, and addiction treatment.
Val is focused on improving Tucson’s infrastructure, specifically providing funding and repair for its streets and sidewalks; he also wants to change the bidding process for public works contractors.
He favors small and local businesses and will initiate economic development. He will also hold City Council as the blame for financial mismanagement.
