William Boddie Jr received a Law degree from Mercer College School of Law . Boddie also received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Valdosta State University . He is also the founder of the Law Firm of Boddie and Associates LLC . Boddie was elected in 2016 as the District 62 representative in the Georgia House of Representatives . As a representative, he is the Minority Whip and the Communications Chair for the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus. Boddie has been a member of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the South Fulton and Douglas County Chamber of Commerce, the Douglas County Small Business Society, the City of Douglasville Housing Committee, and the Douglas County Democratic Party .
Boddie wants to reopen Georgia unemployment offices shut down during COVID-19 shut-down. He also wants to create a streamlined portal for small businesses to post job listings and fill jobs especially for veterans .
Boddie wants to implement more vocational schools and career centers to provide students with more options for further education .
