The Team

Each state’s chapter of The Polling Place is led by three regional directors, who lead teams in charge of research, the website, and social media/outreach.

Jack Day | AZ Director of Website

Jack is a junior at Arizona State University studying mechanical engineering. Although he’s entering a STEM field, Jack believes that staying politically informed – regardless of career or industry – is one of our responsibilities as citizens, and hopes to help the Polling Place ease the weight of that burden for others. In his free time, Jack likes to work on his garden, practice archery, and take pictures of the stars.

Sahil Sud | AZ Director of Social Media/Outreach

Sahil is a junior at BASIS Scottsdale. He is interested in economics, politics, and environmental justice. Through The Polling Place, Sahil seeks to educate voters and increase political participation, especially among young voters. In his free time, Sahil enjoys working for political advocacy, watching sports, and playing with his dogs.

Sanaya Nichani | AZ Director of Research

Sanaya is a junior at BASIS Scottsdale. She is interested in politics, environmental justice, and equality. Sanaya hopes to inform voters so that they can play a bigger part in decisions that affect them and those surrounding them. In her free time, Sanaya enjoys art, CrossFit, and reading.


Enaya Shareef | AZ Social Media/Outreach Team

Enaya is a junior at BASIS Scottsdale. She’s interested in advocating for civil rights and has taken up an interest in public policy. Enaya participates in community service through refugee support organizations by tutoring and volunteering in local events. Through The Polling Place, she wants to improve voter turnout and educate voters before making their decisions. In her free time, she loves to paint and participate in sports.

Anika Desai | AZ Research Team

Anika is a freshman at Duke University. She is hoping to major in economics and political science. She is super passionate about human rights and civil issues and enjoys working with organizations that align with them! In her free time, she loves to sing and dance, as well as spend time with her family and friends.

Daryl Day | AZ Website Team

Daryl is a junior at BASIS Scottsdale High School. She’s interested in civic engagement and politics, especially foreign policy. Daryl enjoys debate and spends many of her weekends competing at tournaments. Through The Polling Place, she seeks to improve voter education and turnout. In her free time, she enjoys watching sports with her family, especially baseball, gardening, and baking.

Catherine Jiang | AZ Website Team

Catherine is a junior at BASIS Scottsdale. She’s interested in gender equality, foreign affairs, psychology, and economics. Catherine is in an “Outstanding Teen” program, tutors students that lack resources to academic institutions, and is passionate about debate and dance. By working with The Polling Place, she hopes to increase voter turnout and educate current/future voters, especially for elections that aren’t covered by the news. For fun, Catherine enjoys running, watching sunsets, and solving puzzles with her family.

Jacob Brodkin | AZ Research Team

Jacob is a senior at the Arizona School for the Arts. He is interested in majoring in sustainability or political science at ASU. Jacob plays percussion at his school and is passionate about environmental and civil rights issues. Jacob joined The Polling Place to encourage people to vote and make sure information is easily accessible. In his free time, he enjoys reading and spending time with his friends and family.

Bhavya Suggula | AZ Research Team

Bhavya is a senior at BASIS Scottsdale. She’s interested in politics, international affairs, especially human rights issues, and law. Bhavya is passionate about giving back to her community and participates in social justice initiatives and nonprofit organizations. During the summer of 2020, she started a chapter of PURE People for Urban and Rural Education, offering underprivileged children an opportunity for education. Through The Polling Place, she seeks to improve people’s participation in the political process as well as decrease political apathy.

Myra Kamal | AZ Research Team

Myra Kamal is a junior attending Rancho Solano Prep School and was recently named the Youth Poet Laureate for the city of Phoenix. She is interested in politics, current events, and international relations, and hopes to pursue these fields in college. Through The Polling Place, she hopes to contribute to resources that inform voters and communities.

Siri Pattipati | AZ Social Media/Outreach Team

Siri is a senior at Corona del Sol High School in Arizona. She is a debater, which has made her interested in public policy. She is involved with her community through organizations like Make-A-Wish, Mayor’s Youth Advisory Commission, and Beyond Resolved. She is working with The Polling Place because it is an effective, educational platform that works to increase accessibility for everyone. She enjoys playing chess, reading, and spending time with her family.

Nandini Warrier | AZ Social Media/Outreach Team

Nan Warrier is a freshman at Paradise Valley High School. She loves writing, drama, literature, and debate. She has participated in multiple academic competitions and wants to continue in the future. Through The Polling Place, she seeks to help people vote and spread awareness about important issues. In her free time, she likes to play the piano, bake, and run.

Chloe Rozalsky | AZ Website Team

Chloe is a senior in the CREST Bioscience and AP Capstone Diploma programs. She is involved in Content Lead for Arizona Science Center’s Teen Advisory Board and Parliamentarian for her school’s chapter of HOSA Future Healthcare Professionals. Through The Polling Place, she hopes to help educate voters so that they can make informed political decisions. In her free time, Chloe enjoys reading, baking, and playing with her dog.

Nabeel Khamash | AZ Social Media/Outreach Team

Nabeel is a junior at Desert Mountain High School. They are interested in politics and its affect on foreign relations and interactions. They are in a local BSA troop and a black belt in American Kenpo. They enjoy hiking, cooking, camping, and watching global geopolitical events.
